At the age of three, he was given his last rights. Antonio was born with liver issues. His grandfather, a pediatrician in Cuba, immigrated from communism to New Orleans, where Antonio was born. He was saved by his grandfather temporarily until the age of 31, when Antonio received a liver transplant on March 2, 1995. Thirty years later, Antonio now enjoys caring for people. “Every day I think and pray for my donor and his family.” Antonio is the proud father of Justin, Nicholas, and Jonathan.
